Watch Me Jumpstart

Bertie as a young Winston Churchill

I always thought that Churchill looked kinda like a pug. Bertie helped me demonstrate this today. But, don't worry, it's not a real stogie, just a stick.

"Jews on Vinyl" at the CJM

The living room setting is perfect. Really fun exhibit based on the book "and you will know us by the trail of our vinyl"

Also worth checking out is the Torah Project where a soferet (scribe) is producing a new copy of the Torah live in the exhibit.

And, the well-timed Sendak exhibit has some great drawings too.

Mofongo!

La Isla, the great Puerto Rican restaurant in Ballard, now makes and serves mofongo on Sundays. Several fillings, including vegetarian, are available. I had the pernil, which was great.

If you haven't had this dish, you should. And the food and people at La Isla are terrific.
